Opening Hours Entrances and notices
It is hereby informed that, due to scheduled restoration works at the Palatine Chapel, opening and closing times will undergo temporary changes. During this period, some areas may not be accessible in order to ensure the safety of visitors and staff.

EARLY CLOSING DAYS MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2026
Until September 7, 2026, the Royal Apartments will be open to visitors every day.
On September 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 22, and 26, 2026, the last ticket to visit the Palatine Chapel will be issued at 4:00 PM
On September 4 the last entrance will be at 12:30
On September 11, entry to the Royal Gardens will be closed from 4pm
On Sundays in September 2026 (6, 13, 20, 27), the Palatine Chapel will close to visitors from 9.30 am to 11.30 am
Please note that the Monumental Complex of the Royal Palace, as the seat of the Sicilian Parliament, and the Palatine Chapel may be subject to full or partial closures or schedule changes without prior notice due to institutional or religious reasons.

The monumental complex is open every day, from Monday to Sunday, including public holidays.

School Visits
Educational Visits for School Institutes Monumental Complex of the Royal Palace of Palermo
To ensure an optimal cultural experience, the Federico II Foundation provides the following information:
Tickets can be purchased online up to 10 days before the visit, or directly at the ticket office on the day of the visit.
With online purchase, visitors may go directly to the entrance without stopping at the ticket office.
For both options, the required documentation must be presented.

Accessible and Non-Accessible Areas for Visitors with Reduced Mobility
The Monumental Complex of the Royal Palace is equipped, where possible, with facilities to remove architectural barriers, ensuring maximum comfort and safety for visitors with disabilities.
Accessible Areas
Bookshop, Sale Duca di Montalto, Cappella Palatina, Sala d’Ercole, Sala dei Viceré, Sala Pompeiana, Sala Cinese e Giardini Reali.
Non-Accessible Areas
Area Archeologica delle Mura Puniche, Sala Re Ruggero e Torre Pisana.
Pet Accessibility
Access to the site is permitted only to guide dogs and dogs used for pet therapy.
Luggage Storage
The site does not have a luggage storage facility.
Animals are not allowed on the premises, even if carried in pet carriers.
