THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND VISITORS FOR ELLIOTT ERWITT’S EXHIBITION AT THE ROYAL PALACE OF PALERMO. EXTENDED UNTIL JANUARY 6TH
THE EXHIBITION OF ONE OF THE GREATEST MASTERS IN THE HISTORY OF PHOTOGRAPHY WAS A PUBLIC SUCCESS AT THE PALAZZO REALE IN PALERMO.
INSTEAD OF NOVEMBER 30, IT WILL CLOSE ON JANUARY 6.
Following its great public success, the Federico II Foundation has decided to extend Elliott Erwitt’s exhibition until January 6, 2026, currently underway at the Royal Palace in Palermo. The exhibition reached three hundred thousand visitors in one hundred and eighty days of opening.
The photographer’s works, considered among the greatest of all time, are on display in Sicily for the first time, thanks to the exhibition organized by the Federico II Foundation with the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the US Consulate General in Naples. The co-curators are Biba Giacchetti and Gabriele Accornero.
Erwitt’s images span eras, cultures, and feelings in a universal language. His shots have become true icons of the history of our society. From the famous Black and White that established him internationally, to the extraordinary color images, which the exhibition enhances.
The exhibition features a vast selection of the Master’s body of work, 190 photographs, in large format, allowing the visitor a visual experience of the highest quality.
The exhibition follows the opening hours of the Monumental Complex of the Royal Palace.
