Fondazione Federico II
The Fondazione Federico II established in December 9th 1996 with the regional law n.44, is a private institution whose legal status was recognized in August 1997 by decree of the President of the Regione Siciliana; it is the Cultural and Informative Organ of the Assemblea Regionale Siciliana. Entitled to the monarch,who in the XIII century made of Sicily the crib of art and literature, and knew how to integrate the ethnic and cultural diversities presences in the Island at that time. The Fondazione Federico II has the assignment to valorize the cultural patrimony of Sicily and its artists. The Fondazione also, according to the art. 51 of the regional law 15 from 2004, manages the additional services personnel related to the Complesso Monumentale di Palazzo dei Normanni and of the Cappella Palatina (ticketing and bookshop), and through this activities covers its own operating costs.
The Fondazione is in charge of printing and distributing a fortnightly edition, Cronache Parlamentari Siciliane, accomplishing this way one of its missions which is to spread the knowledge of the activities of the Institutional Organs of the Regione Siciliana.
And finally the Fondazione organizes events and exhibitions in the spaces granted by the Assemblea Regionale Siciliana.
